Governors State University is currently rolling out an exciting new tool to make it possible for you to apply online. You can apply to all undergraduate programs using the Undeclared/Non-degree Seeking or Degree Seeking applications. You can also apply to many graduate programs. Those graduate programs not offered in an online application format are listed below.
To get started, click on the appropriate application link in the Apply for Admission box to the right. Starting July 1, 2008, a $25.00 application fee will be charged for undergraduate applications and $50.00 for graduate applications in order to process your application. If the payment is not successfully processed, you will be notified to re-submit your application at another time. However, after submission of your application is complete, you will receive an email with instructions on how to login and monitor the progress of your application.
Currently,
applicants to the following GSU programs must still use the traditional
paper application.
Graduate
Independent Film and Digital Imaging
Counseling
Occupational Therapy
Communications Disorders
Social Work
Doctoral
Nursing Practice
Occupational Therapy
Transitional Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy
Please call the admission office or check the
admission website for more information.
As part of the application process for most programs, you may need to supply additional documents such as transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc. (Please see the
catalog for your specific degree requirements).
This site makes it easy for you to check if your documents have been received by the Admission Office and to monitor the status of your application. Simply log in and click on Folder Items or Admission Status to the right, or on the links on the left menu bar.
If you have any problems with this site, please call the GSU help desk at 708.534.HELP. Technical support is available from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

P.S. It is sometimes the case that students are interested in working on two programs simultaneously. If this describes your situation, simply apply to one of your preferred programs. Once you are admitted, work with your advisor to add the second major.
